Resident Evil Veronica Absent from Gamescom

After months of anticipation, the 2026 Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany has come and gone without even a hint of Resident Evil Veronica.

Capcom instead opted to showcase some of their other franchises, including Mega Man and Onimusha. One particularly delightful reveal was the introduction of campy new Mega Man costumes in the longtime developer's newest franchise, Pragmata.

Speculation had swirled in recent weeks that another trailer for Veronica would appear at Gamescom, because the game's producer attended the event. Alas, that was not the case.

Fans will have to wait for the Capcom Spotlight later this month at the Tokyo Game Show to see if any more of the game will be revealed. Resident Evil Veronica is not currently listed among Capcom's lineup for the event.
